Shenandoah Records is a record company formed by singer, songwriter, producer Michael Geddes, who resides in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.
As a musician, performing for years in the Shenandoah National Park and the surrounding Shenandoah Valley, Michael is aware that people from all over the world have an interest in this area. He designs musical concepts which are keepsakes for people to take home as a remembrance of this beautiful part of the country.
Journey
Michael's latest album, "Journey", is his first to be digitally recorded. Comprised of several new songs and remakes of several previously released ones, this album continues to showcase Michael's love for his adopted home, the Shenandoah Valley.
Once Upon a Time in the Shenandoah
This digitally mastered audio cassette features interviews with natives of the Shenandoah Valley born in the early part of the 20th Century (1917 - 1920).
You will hear delightful stories of times past, what life was like before the days of the railroad and the Shenandoah National Park, blended with traditional music performed by some of the Valley's finest traditional musicians.

Open Highway
"Open Highway", Michael's first recording, was written while Michael was touring and performing throughout the United States in 1994. The album's songs were written about the people he met and the places he, his wife and son visited while on the road. From Block Island, Florida to the Colorado Rockies, "Open Highway" is a high spirited musical adventure.
Phyllis Gaskins
Mountain Dulcimer, Galax Style
Phyllis Gaskins, a native of Elkton, Virginia, has won many ribbons for her dulcimer playing. She placed first at the 1982 and 1988 Galax Fiddlers' Conventions. This album is as true to the real meaning of traditional Appalachian music as any you will find.

Slow Train to Yesterday
"Slow Train to Yesterday" is a video documentary produced by WVPT Public Television that focuses on the history of trains and train travel in the Shenandoah Valley.
